Corrie + Ryan | Wedding | 06.30.2012 | Houston Wedding Photographer

When I sat down just now to document this wedding, the only thing that came to me - other than a smile - was, "Corrie and Ryan are just awesome". I immediately began reminiscing their engagement shoot back in February - how they did these adorable silly dances between poses, how they smiled at each other, the inside jokes they shared. From those first two hours of my knowing them, it was obvious that they not only love each other, but they enjoy each other. They laugh together. They are silly together. They quote the same lines from T.V. shows. I knew right then that photographing their wedding would be so fun - and I was not let down!

I have been to weddings where the on-lookers "oo" and "aww" when the officiant makes that final announcement, "I now introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith". But friends, when Corrie and Ryan's pastor said those words, "I now introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and Corrie P--", people cheered. People whooped. The smiles on the audiences faces were almost as radiant as the bride and groom's, and that is a testament to the love that not only Corrie and Ryan share for each other, but how much they love everyone else.

Corrie and Ryan, it was an honor to photograph your wedding. I hope that these few photos bring back some of the memories that you made, and maybe help you recall the details that you were too overwhelmed to embrace :)

And, of course, some thanks are due:
To my amazing husband and business partner who captures lovely photos and keeps me sane
To our friend, Michael, and his photography talent that has added charm and creativity to our Houston weddings
To Kate Osterhus, the wedding coordinator who made my job seamless!
To Ryan and Corrie's families and wedding party who were so encouraging and helpful on the wedding day
And to the follow vendors for their creative, beautiful, and tasty additions:
Cake: Supreme Kakes
Catering: The French Corner
Wedding Dress: Maggie Satero (designer) and Ventura's Bridal (bridal boutique)
Tuxedos: Men's Warehouse

Jackson | 6 Months | 06.2012 | Houston Infant Photographer

A friend of mine from grad school called me up a few weeks ago and asked if I would mind shooting some photos of her 6-month-old baby boy, Jackson. Would I mind? Certainly not! I could never turn down a photo shoot with an infant. Particularly when he is 6-months-old. That is just the perfect age to photograph babies. They have developed a precious little personality, they have plumped up a bit, and those facial expressions... I just love 'em!

My goodness. I could not get over this baby boy's chubby little cheeks! And those blue eyes! His little smile will make you want to melt into a puddle on the floor :)

Um... You may need a mop because I know you have melted by now!

Mopping myself up,

Corrie | Bridals | 06.2012 | Houston Bridal Portrait Photographer

Could this girl be more gorgeous?! Those striking eyes and smile made a debut in her and her NOW husband's engagement photos back in February. I photographed their wedding on June 30th and am anxiously awaiting the day I will get enough photos edited to put up on the blog, because the wedding was spectacular, and SO fun!

So, in the meantime, enjoy this glimpse of Corrie in her stunning wedding gown! A friend of hers put together the beautiful, wandering bouquet that made a perfect accessory for this nature/summer inspired shoot.

Lovin' that bouquet! Mm!
So elegant.

Tromping through tall grass,

Jenna + Scott | Wedding | 06.23.2012 | Belton Wedding Photographer

Scott and Jenna were married in my hometown, Belton, TX on a warm (well, let's be honest, it was hot), sunny, beautiful day this June. The sun was high, but so were everyone's spirits as the ceremony approached. Jenna somehow managed to not sweat a drop and looked truly stunning walking down the aisle of the church that I grew up attending. I have known the groom's family since I was 6 years old. Scott was just about 3 when his family moved to Belton, and our families have been very close ever since. So, needless to say, capturing this wedding was an honor. And an immense joy :) Thank you, Jenna and Scott, for sharing such a momentous day with us. We pray many, many blessings as you start your new life in California!

Sparkles and truck rides,
