Corrie + Ryan | 02.2012 | Houston Engagement Photographer

Corrie and Ryan met at their church a couple of years ago. They dated for a little over a year, and then Ryan asked her to be his wife during this year's Lights In the Heights event in December. What a perfect time of year for such a momentous occasion! Christmas lights twinkling in the night sky, everyone's spirits lifted because of the holiday season, a nice stroll down one of the quaintest neighborhoods in Houston...

I loved photographing this couple! They were fun, sweet, and so care-free with each other. The whispers and kisses were (mostly) not posed by me - they were just being cute together naturally! Makes my job a lot easier... ;)

I have the immense pleasure of photographing Corrie's bridal portraits and the wedding later this year! I'm really looking forward to having more opportunities to get to know these two :)

It was pouring down rain this morning, but lucky for us, it let up just in time for the shoot to begin! But, we still needed to use the umbrella - because it's cute :)
P.S. There are at least 3 more ring shots... because I like taking pics of the ring :)
Yes, that flower is real!

A Thank You & 2011 Favorites

I started my photography business a mere 4.5 months ago. I have so much more to learn, so many more photos to take!

I want to say thank you to my friends, Jared, Katie, Melissa, Payton, and Charlie, for being my guinea pigs before I started getting paid for this. You guys gave me the confidence boost I needed to get my business started. I owe a HUGE thank you to my friend, Kati, for putting her confidence in me as my first paying client, then subsequently providing me with my next 3 clients. And, perhaps most importantly, I thank my husband, my family, and my followers for your never-ending words of encouagement. It's what keeps me going, what keeps me pushing and challenging my creativity daily.

So, even though it's only been 4.5 months since the start of The Freckled Key | Photography by Hannah Noelle Key, here are my favorite shots from 2011. I expect 2012's reel will be much larger...
